A few months after getting married, i randomly decided to look up cats. At first memang saja-saja je, nothing serious. But honestly, i’ve always wanted a tuxedo cat my whole life.
Then one day, i was casually talking to my friend and told her i wanted a cat. Suddenly she was like, “Eh, my friend actually has a few cats for rehome.” So i just went to take a look, macam random scroll-scroll je…and that was the exact moment i immediately fell in love.
A tuxedo cat??? I REALLY wanted him. And yes, him because he’s a boy. A tiny tuxie boiii 😭
The best part? He was still available for rehome.
And that’s where the whole “convincing my husband” episode officially started.
The pujuk-ing.
The negotiating.
The “i promise i’ll take care of him.”
The “pleaseeee just one cat.”
Then yay, boom my husband finally said yes to the cat 🥹
And malam tu jugak, we went to pick up our tuxie boi. Before that, my husband actually brought me to the pet store first to buy all the things for him. Food, litter, bowls, toys… basically everything a tiny baby cat needed.
My husband is honestly such a sweet and loving boy. Even though i was the one being extra pushy about wanting the cat, he still said yes and willingly bought everything for our new baby 🥺
That night, we finally brought him home. At first, he was super shy. And he was soooo tiny and ringan because he was actually underweight at that time. We could tell he was still adjusting and scared in a new environment.
But after a few days, he slowly started getting comfortable with us. and omg… he turned out to be the manja-est boy ever! He always wanted to be close to us, follow us around the house, and sleep next to us. Sometimes siap tidur rapat-rapat like he needed constant cuddles.

Now for the second cat… this one was even MORE random 😭
One day, me and my husband went to the pet store to buy kibbles for our tuxie boi. Then while walking around, we saw a few kittens there that were available for rehome. So we started casually chatting with the owner of the store…and somehow, he managed to convince us to take this one little girl home 🥹
“your first cat is a boy already kan… so why not get him a partner?”
And honestly…she was TOO cute to say no to 😭
She’s super playful, energetic, and veryyyyy different from our tuxie boi. Total opposite personalities. Our tuxie is more clingy, soft and manja, while this girl is chaotic, playful and full of energy. Very, very, very vice versa! Everything about getting her was so impromptu, but somehow me and my husband both instantly agreed to bring her home.
And now here we are…
officially parents to two fluffy babies that completely took over our lives 🤍
Even after a tiring day, coming home to both of them makes us so happy. Just seeing them sleep beside us pun already feels comforting.
The best part is seeing how much healthier and happier they are now. Our tuxie boi dulu kecil and underweight, but now dah makin berisi and super manja. Our girl pulak full of energy and chaos every single day!
Their personalities are so opposite, but somehow they complete our little family perfectly.
It still feels crazy how both of them came into our lives so randomly, but now we genuinely can’t imagine life without them 🤍
They’re not just pets anymore. They’re family.
